Hi everyone,
I want to mesh the tube with the diamon-shaped grids, as the picture shows.
I thought of different meshing tools, but only got tetrahedral or hexhedral mesh.
Any suggestions are so appreciated!

Wow, it’s perfect!!
Thank you so much, @DanielPiker!
You are the king of GH!
Hi @DanielPiker,
Just one more question:
Why there are so many naked edges inside the baked mesh?
I tried welding, combine… but they are still there.
Could you provide a method to combine them? Or any suggestion to avoid them?
Thanks!
@DanielPiker
GOAT!!
It might be cool to have one of those for isogrids.
hi @laurent_delrieu,
Thank you so much for your reply and suggestions!
Could you please modify your code to create the diomand-shape grids? I tried to modify your code (change Q{0,1,2} to Q{0,1,2,3}) but failed.
Sorry I answered to @Brenda for the isogrid. My tool output hexagons that I transform to triangles. Going to quads is not the same logic. If Kangaroo tool is not good for you it means the initial mesh is not good so you need to make your own quad mesh using isocurve of the surface.
Got it.
Thanks again!
That’s so cool, @laurent_delrieu!
And if you can combine the two grids as I show, it is exactly what I want.
Thanks again!
I did this component to have good Hexagon, with only seven points, and always with the same order. I think I missed outputting hexagons on datatree.
2/3 of diamond where simple the other a bit less. But grouping and shifting helped a lot.
Great job, @laurent_delrieu!
That’s exactly what I need.
Thanks again and have a nice weekend!
