'Host Boundary Profile' component to extract IFC floor element

Can the ‘Host Boundary Profile’ component be utilized to extract the profile from an Architectural IFC model linked to a Structural Revit model? The graphical element in the screenshot below refers to an IFC Floor.
If not , what would be the best way other than " Deconstruct brep"

The imported IFC elements Direct Shapes and do not contain native Revit functionality such as Host Boundary Profile.

One possibility is to bake an instance of Revit IFC Element to Rhino as a block and then intersect the geometry with a plane.
