Holomark2 fails loading

Once HoloMark2 has completed you’ll get a dialog with the text that contains all the results. And you should have one viewport set to a holomark view. If you don’t see anything maybe try ZE to get the graph in view.

This is what I get when Holomark completes the test. No dialog no nothing, just a mini cooper.

Any ideas?

@Holo will know better as he wrote the command.

Strange, it should work as it has verified that the different display modes are installed.
Did you install with the installer or did you unzip?

I’ll run the installer on my new machine that has a fresh installation of both v7 and v6 and I’ll check if I get the same issue.

I have done a fresh installation of rhino 7 evaluation copy. Then I installed the .rhi by doubleclicking on it and going through the installation wizard. then I launched the command and everything worked perfectly but the finish

@Holo FYI on my machine the font used to create the final text on the left side of the graph does not exist. So text creation failed for that part. If you look at my result in Holomark2_R6 - #265 by nathanletwory you’ll see that on the bottom left the text is missing.

Thanks, I’ll check it out.
Rhino used to be ok with rs.addtext() with no font, but that has changed a few times so I’ll see if that might be it.

What OS language are you on @gianandreafiorillo ?

English (united Kingdom)

Ok, just to add some info… when I launch the command, in the command bar appears the text:
Rhino 7 sr 0 64 bit Preparing Holomark 2 R6 v2, 61
and then I get the Warning message who tells me to close and save the document. I press ok and then everything works fine. Just I don’t get the final report. I could extrapolate the info form the command line and rewrite them in the correct order, but I don’t see a total score to compare it with other machines.

Another comment.
Now the test has just finished… I guess… In the command line I have:
GPU_13 Test took:0.06 sec @ 1666.7 fps.
your system handled 110 units before dropping below 15 fps.
and again, the rendered minicooper in a HM2_1 vieport.

Don’t know what to do and don’t know if the test has actually finished.

@Holo what if I write here all the texts I got from the command line? There are all the GPU and CPU tests with the results for each test. Could you be able to manually calculate the score so that I can compare it with others? I am maybe asking too much, don’t know, I don’t see many others possibilities.
@nathanletwory I would like to post the results in the other topic too so that we can go on with the analysis of my case.

Thank you guys for the support.

Good morning,
I tried to do what in my possibilities to reconstruct the Holomark report.
This is the outcome:

GPU_01 :9.09 sec @ 909.1 fps.
GPU_02 :1.14 sec @ 87.7 fps.
GPU_03 :0.08 sec @ 1250.0 fps.
GPU_04 :0.13 sec @ 769.2 fps.
GPU_05 :0.56 sec @ 178.6 fps.
GPU_06 :0.63 sec @ 158.7 fps.
GPU_07 :957 units before dropping below 5 fps
GPU_08 :377 units before dropping below 5 fps
GPU_09 :81 units before dropping below 5 fps
GPU_10 :0.34 sec @ 294.1 fps.
GPU_11 :0.16 sec @ 625.0 fps.
GPU_12 :0.11 sec @ 909.1 fps.
GPU_13 :0.06 sec @ 1666.7 fps.
GPU_14 :110 units before dropping below 15 fps

CPU_01 :4.19 sec
CPU_02 :1.11 sec
CPU_03 :2.9 sec
CPU_04 :0.06 sec
CPU_05 :0.02 sec

I also have these, which I don’t know what test they are associated to:

Time to regen viewport 10 times = 0.01 seconds. (666.67 FPS)
Contour: 2.76833 s
Time to regen viewport 10 times = 0.02 seconds. (625.00 FPS)

It looks clear to me that the test is not going to the GPU_15 and CPU_6. But I am just speculating here… I am sure you will be able to lee me more about it.

Thanks

This is a strange place for the test to stop.
I think your system should attempt dropping below 15fps a few times, so it’s either there or that it fails at meshing the mini.

I just installed Holomark2_R6 here and sat that the file downloaded without the .rhi at the end. Don’t know why, might have been a security issue or the file was altered at the discourse server.

But after renaming and installing (I had Rhino closed) it ran just fine:

I am having a problem on Rhino 7 as well.
It just stops at a certain point, couple of times at GPU_06 and other times at GPU_13, no errors or anything.

Same problem for me.

It’d help getting a better picture of the situation if you posted also the results of the Rhino command _SystemInfo.

I have no clue on why this happens as I have never seen the trouble here on my machines.
Holomark2_R6 was built for v6, and it just install on v7 too as v7 is backwards compatible.
Maybe it would help if I recompile with the latest SR for v6 installed, but then it might not work on older v6 builds. I would prefer to work on HM7 instead of bugtracking HM2_r6 though…

Its just weird that its always either GPU_06 or GPU_13 tests
