High single core CPU usage

I got a similar problem in the latest Rhino 7.
Rhino often constantly uses ~20% of CPU even if I am not doing anything. Besides poor performance, another strange symptom is that hoovering over grasshopper components doesn’t show its details (as it normally does). There is also a noticeable Rhino viewport performance drop and Grasshopper canvas performance drop. Closing Grasshopper doesn’t fix the issue.
