Help with dynamic annotation of height

Hello Rhino community,

I am a skatepark designer and architect, finally making the transition from SketchUp/AutoCAD to Rhino. In my work, it is essential to easily set height points (annotations) on a 3D model so they can be displayed in 2D plans. Additionally, I need these annotations to be dynamic—meaning that if I modify the 3D model, the height annotations should automatically update.

I know the VisualArq plugin offers this feature, and I’m attaching a screenshot from their website showing it.
Elevation-Mark-400

While I’d consider purchasing the plugin, it’s a bit too expensive for me, especially since this is the only feature I need. It feels like a significant investment for something that might be solvable with a custom script or possibly even in Grasshopper.

I’m completely new to Rhino scripting and have been browsing the forum, but I haven’t found a suitable solution yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Domen -

You don’t need a plug-in to do that.
