Help with Closed Curves that share Borders?

Hi all, I am fairly new to Rhino. Long story short I am working on a project where I am cutting foam on a CNC router to eventually look like a faux wood carving based on medieval animal drawings. There are two animals in a pair and the one in the back is going to be a lower depth than the front animal.

I’ll try to explain this, but I may word it wrong. So I will attach photos of my screen to try to make it clearer. My professor who is helping me get them cut out told me the different depths need to be contained in their own closed curves, but I am having trouble with this.

I have my outline and the 2 sections joined together, but the big main section I don’t understand how to make it be its own section since it shares lines that are part of the other sections?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you

Hi Jocelyn - please post a file if you can but I think CurveBoolean will help you here - select all the curves and then click inside each closed region you want to have - neighboring regions can be merged or not - see the command line options.

I believe that is what I needed! It seems to look like what it’s supposed to now!
Thank you so much for helping so quickly!
