I’m new to PC’s and haven’t used Rhino3d since the 90’s and was hoping to get help installing the Grasshopper Gold plugin. I’m hoping it’s still free.

Start by installing Rhino if you haven’t already. Then head over to Food4Rhino, register and download Grasshopper Gold. For help on installing, take a look at the FAQ.

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I keep getting an Error 0x80004005: Unspecified error code. I looked up the error code but PC’s are new to me and I lost.

That’s a Windows error for when something goes wrong with reading the file off the disk. Things to check:
I’d start just re-downloading the file, to make sure it’s not corrupted.
If the file on a shared drive, try moving it to a local drive.
If it’s already in a folder on a local drive, try moving it to the Desktop.
Temporarily disable your anti-virus software.
Make sure that the file is not blocked
Also, run SystemInfo in Rhino and post the result here.

Thank you for reaching out to help. I unfortunately had a stroke on the 20th of September, and I just recently got back online. I tried following your instructions but have failed to install and I can’t figure it out. I’m having major health issues effecting comprehension and I just can’t figure it out. I’ll just have to do without until I learn how to work a PC better.

Thank you Taraskydon but I don’t allow access to anyone to my computer. I find horribly depressing that you developed such an awesome software but gave no attention to instructional videos or how to install the software. Look how long I’ve been trying to install the software…there is proof there. I’m new to PC but I’m a 30-year MAC user and I can’t even install it on my MAC. The viewership of your videos is mostly in the hundred range and not viewed or compare to other rhino videos that have thousands of views. This is proof that by the 44,000 plus downloads of your software but no one can learn it because you’re driving through your videos at 200mph with no audio instruction. I’m not trying to degrade you or disrespect you…this is what frustration and disappointment in trying to install and use your software looks like. Please do the right thing and partner up with someone like PJ Chen Jewelry Design to do your instructional videos.

1, access to the PC through Anidesk is secure. you can see everything I do!
2, I have created a manual. which if you read and follow everything step by step, you should not have any problems with the installation. but I also see it as a problem.
3, The MacOS Beta version of the GG plugin is available only for Patreon. and I think that version V6.7.7 is already quite stable.
4 , I record videos at a standard speed 
and try to show how the tool works, but in the future I will make more constructive videos for training.
5, You should understand that I am not a company or a corporation. I do everything myself. I accept all your criticism, and it doesn’t hurt me because it is constructive.
