Having trouble with sweep

Hello! First time posting here, I am a 3D modeling novice in a CAD class working on a project. I am having trouble figuring out the sweep2 command, whenever I use it on this object, the top of it comes out having varying heights, I thought checking “maintain height” would help but there is probably something else I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance!

Not quite, attached is the object that I am supposed to replicate

Ah ok - just leave out the top line in the sweep and make it as a planar surface after.
