Groove on extruded panels of a parametric box

Hello everyone,

I wanted to ask if there is any better and easier way to create a grove on both sides of this parametric box. Im trying to make a parametric kitchen box and the back of the box is always 8mm. This 8mm panel is always attached to the side panels with a 12mm grove on both side of the side panel. So even if the box i higher, wider the grove is the same..

This is great, any idea how can i remove the panel in the picture?
