Grasshopper-lines won't draw as columns in Tekla

Hi!
I have made two different line components. When I connect the line component marked “green” to the Tekla-column-component it works perfectly, when I connect the “gray” line component (the one that’s connect in the figure bellow) to the Tekla-column-component it does not drawn anything in Tekla. It draws perfectly in Rhino.

Does anyone have any ideas of what’s wrong? The Tekla-component doesn’t give any error messages.

Might not be related but it appears that Curve input and Position input do not have corresponding trees branches.

Hi, I’m thinking the failing set of the objects might be outside the work area of Tekla Structures.

  • If there are objects listed [in the Tekla component output] in Grasshopper, make sure to set the work area in Tekla Structures to the entire model (right-click the Tekla view → Set work area to entire model) and adjust the view depth so it’s large enough to include any generated geometry (right-click the view → Properties… → Increase the view depth both up and down by adding a few 0:s).

Some more info in the FAQ.

Japhy’s remark about the branch matching is accurate for standard GH components - just noting that for many Tekla components the behavior is a bit different (of course ), as it reads in everything as trees or lists and doesn’t always match them in the same way. Which makes some things more unintuitive. The reason for this is here in the FAQ.

Cheers,
