Grasshopper creates annotation dots near failing intersection?

image

I’m not exactly sure what is happening but this is how it looks. Dozens of annotation dots. I think it is an intersection which fails. The Grasshopper definition does not contain any annotation dot components. The annotation dots are baked to the current Rhino layer in pink color. Unfortunately I had to force quit the file.

My definition is huge and I’m trying to create a simplified example…

I was finally able to locate and recreate the problem. It’s caused by an invalid mesh.

The mesh has some short edges. I created the mesh union in Grasshopper so I don’t necessarily see that there might be a problem…

The component which causes the invalid mesh in my file is from Kangaroo. Maybe I should have used Align Vertices instead. It seems to work.
