Does anyone know if it is possible to make a translucent plastic / glass material with gradient colours going from, lets say, black to white / clear?

Maybe apply as texture ?
Is this what you’re after? It’s a transparent material with a color texture… but not at 100%. I think it looks better with path tracing but that takes longer.

yes @BrianJ, If I am doing the gradient in Photoshop, my colour blended to white will show transparent when added as a texture on a simple glass material, correct?
Yes, this works in the glass material as well… white becomes transparent.
