Is there a way to make a 2d outline of a 3d curved object?
The dimensions must correspond to the curved object. So I don’t want a “photo” of the object, but an unfolded, flattened one. Make 2d is not what I’m looking for.
Does Rhino provide options for this?

You want an outline but your object is open. Might be easier if you DupEdge or Dupborder the curves you want flattened & reupload.
Unless the surfaces are “developable” there will be distortion when the object is flattened.
