Fixing a bad mesh for 3d print

I have a mesh (a very bad mesh) that I’ve built from a 3d scan. It looks ready to 3d print but is a mess and can’t be printed. Ive tried using quadremesh, which I haven’t got good results with. Shrinkwrap, in rhino8, seems like the perfect tool but either my laptop isn’t powerful enough to process it, or it’s just too complex to shrinkwrap! Can anyone offer some advice/help?

Thanks in advance,
Joss

Hi Joss -

It’s hard to help when no 3dm file is provided. I’d start with making the target edge length “large”, and then, when necessary, make that shorter in steps.

Thanks, ive converted it to a point cloud and shrink-wrapped from there which has worked a bit better but split the model into different sections. The file is larger than the maximum upload file size on here, is there any way around that so you could have a look?

Hi Joss -

You can upload a file to us from this page: Rhino Accounts
