Feature Request: Spline to End Tangent to a Curve

I wish there were some way to have spline end tangent to (most frequently) an arc or some other spline.

The tangent snap does not work for this.

Hi @miano
Rhino doesn’t have a spline command, so I’m guessing that you are talking about either the Curve command or InterpCrv command.

For the Curve command, the tangent osnap should work, if you are looking for a tangent point ON the arc/curve/line. If you are looking to tangent match to the end point, use the one-shot (by pressing Ctrl) called TanFrom to select the arc/curve/line, and the select the end point you wish to tangent match to.

For InterpCrv there’s a command line option called EndTangent that will let you tangent match to any given point on any given arc/curve/line.

I don’t have the end of the arc. The place where the curve ends up tangent is where the arc will be split and joined.

post an example

Hi @miano
You’re still not telling us what command(s) you are using OR how you are doing it, making it hard to help - but here’s a video of how to tangent snap using either Curve or InterpCrv. Note that for the Curve command I’m first using the Osnap and then - if you are looking to make the curve tangent to a specific point - I’m using the one-shot TangentFrom snap (on Win you need hold Ctrl to access OneShot Osnaps - don’t know the Mac equivalent). With the InterpCrv command, it’s the command line option EndTangent.
