ExtractPt on preselected CTRL+SHIFT points on PointCloud

On Rhino 5 i used to be able to preselect a subset CTRL+SHIFT of points of a PointCloud and use command -_ExtractPt to make duplicate of ‘only’ those points.

Now in Rhino 6 and Rhino 7 I am unable to do so. Not even -_ExtractPt and CTRL+SHIFT select the subset.

Is there plan of bringing this back ?

RH-57347 is fixed in the latest Service Release Candidate
