I’m trying to make Rhino inside Revit the same as regular Rhino. Even if I open the same template file, the Document Properties aren’t copied over at all. I’ve modified Document Properties, and it would be quite a bit of work to match it one by one.
Is there an option to export/import Document Properties?
As an example, View properties are not copied over even though I opened the same Template file that I use for regular Rhino, as shown in the screenshot. On the right side of the screenshot, the regular Rhino View in Properties has quite of modifications, but Rhino inside Revit doesn’t show any.
Also, Keyboard macros are not copied over. I can export and import Aliases, I didn’t find a way to do so with the keyboard macro?
Another example is, I use the mid button for rotate view. Rhino inside Revit doesn’t do so. This particular one is an easy click in Document Properties, but there are so many settings that aren’t the same. That made me wonder if I was missing some sort of export/import Document Properties, like Window Layout / Aliases.
I actually did go through every single setting in Document Properties when I upgraded to Rhino 8 in order to match what I had in Rhino 7, and every single second was frustrating. I felt so incredibly stupid, dumb, moronic trying to match Document Properties. I’m trying to avoid the same self hatred.
Do you mean to say, I need to alter Document Properties In Rhino inside Revit again and save it as a new Template? That’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid. Rather, I’d like to use the same Document Properties from regular Rhino that has already been altered.
No. It didn’t work.
I opened the same Template and imported Window Layout, so it all looks the same as my regular Rhino. However, Rhino inside Revit does not copy over any Document Properties. All View options are left as default.
