Export Hi-Res Image - result strangely cropped on Apple

Dear all,

when using Rhino 6 on an Apple computer the Hi-Res image export is cropped in a very strange way. Just close to the extents of the Grasshopper setup, the components are cut. This does not occur on Windows.

Does anyone know how to solve this? We’ve trying to find the reason for a while now…

Best regards
SFS

Hi, I have exactly the same issue with Rhino 7 on my an Apple M1 laptop. Not sure if you figured out how to solve this? I couldn’t find the solution to this answer anywhere else other than this post.

I am also having this issue on a M2 Max.

Dear @karen0317lin @Mandi_Blanton @SFS
Did you ever found out how to get Hi-res Images working with the correct cropping / section ?
is it still a Bug ?
(.EDIT… I would claim yes - works as expected on Windows)

I do not get a cropping that makes sense in both v7 and v8 under mac os x 13.5.1 (22G90)
Rhino:
Version 7 (7.37.24004.15002, 2024-01-04)
and
Version 8 (8.6.24101.05002, 2024-04-10)

any news ?

I just tried the following on a reasonably large definition:
If I export high res when zoomed it, I get a cropped result
If I export high res, after zoom extents, I get a correct result.

@Tom_P does that match with what you are seeing?

I always get a cropped, miss-centered result:
(no matter wether I press “view entire document” or not)
export wia export hi res:

if I change the zoom factor the buggy cropping changes as well.

???

I guess I was just lucky a couple times. Behavior is quite inconsistent.
RH-81848 Hi res image export not working reliably

I was lucky also now:
alining the definition to the canvas-origin:

gives the expected shot:

thanks @Tom_P I added that info
