Excel Table in Layout

I still have no gotten into user data so unsure if it’s something with this.

IF we can tag our objects with:
Name, vendor, description, material and so forth
(duplicate objects would need to maintain themselves and not confuse anything)
AND also an “identity” marker/number
(The marker is ideally something we can pull out from the object once it’s laid out as ideally a “bubble-callout”)

I think the BOM could auto populate these attributes?
You can add what columns you want to your bom even.
I think something simple like bounding box can even give you some cut lengths but I’m not sure how that would work for rotated objects etc. Maybe you can pick a length on your object and save that as your data you can then populate in your table?

I hope this makes sense. THIS is high on my list

Having been on this journey for a little while, here are some links which should get you going. The basic gist is that it isn’t hard to roll your own solution. For what it is worth, I have avoided adding a unique custom identity marker into the usertext as it is tricky to keep track of. I suspect a database solution would be required, or hacked into the script somehow, but that is far too complicated for me and I don’t want the database overhead to manage.

Our table plugin has been updated with major improvements, video demo here.

Hi, I’d like to try the new table plugin, but can’t seem to get the trial ??
