Evaluate component: renames input variables when reloading script

When I open my scripts the evaluate components has renamed inputs - e.g. ‘y’ is ‘variable y’.

This is not carried out to the formula I am asking the component to evaluate, nor are spacing accepted by the syntax.

Does anyone have a workaround / is this a known bug?

Rename the inputs to use the same values as the expression.

Yes, it’s a well known bug, been around FOREVER. Why, you may ask? Pure negligence.
