Encapsulating a grasshopper GH definition in an RHP via the Rhino 7 script compiler - Only RHP?

When encapsulating a grasshopper GH definition in an RHP plugin file via the Rhino 7 script compiler is it necessary that the GH file remain on the computer (the GH file would then be an external reference) who uses RHP or RHP alone is enough (the GH file would then actually be incorporated into the RHP file)?

The rhp alone is all that is needed. The gh file is embedded into the rhp.
