Hi everyone,

Double-clicking on a block will enter Block Edit
mode and you should be able to change colors in that mode.
Hi @wim
Thanks…, Block Edit contains three parameters only Add Object to Block , Remove Object from Block and Set Base Point . Block Edit can’t used for changing instance block color
-Sarath
Yes it can. From the help file:
Select a block instance to edit.
Or, double-click a block instance.
The block geometry opens in the Rhino window. All other objects are locked.
You can now edit the geometry in the block using any editing techniques.
That last line is important here: when in block editing mode, you can modify the geometry using any editing techniques. So you just change the color as you would change the color for any none-block object.
Hi @wim
It was not working. Instance Block geometry was changed but display color not visible
-Sarath
I don’t know what that means.
Not sure about that one either. What is invisible?
How are you trying to change the color? Can you give a detailed list of steps you take? And preferably, post the file that you are trying this on.
Here you go…
Block-color.3dm (92.0 KB)
Hi @wim
How did you do that …
By entering block edit mode and then changing the color like I would for any other object. I.e. you select the object, and then in object properties, you change the color.
WLM’s suggestion works perfectly:
Double click on block sesired to change...
All in screen locks out except selected block...
Pick block which yellows out...
Pick options,
select object feature & color to change.
Thanks, WLM
