Drape trimmed surface onto object

I am trying to drape a trimmed surface (selected in image) over a particular surface (armrest kinda surface, not selected in image. The standard drape function just creates an untrimmed version and does not allow to select the trimmed surface. Before I also tried to project curves, pull curves, flow along surface and a splop but no luck. I need to build it in Rhino, Grasshopper will not be an option unfortunately.

Hi @nickharlander
If you are looking for a precise drape - folding the surface to follow the armest - you can use flow. Use the line across your trimmed surface as the base curve and the cross section of the armrest as the target curve. If you are looking for a more organic drape - how a blanket or similar would behave if casually dropped onto the armrest - you need either grasshopper, another program (Blender, C4D, Max etc.) or do it the hard way: rebuild the surface with more points and point edit manually.Rhino (without Grasshopper) has no tools for collisions, cloth sim etc.

Hello - see the attached file - the surface is flowed (Flow command) from the red line to the blue curve.

Pascal, perfect! this is exactly what i was looking for. I always used the FlowAlongSrf command and that never gave me the results needed. I never even considered the flow command to bend the surface that way.
Thank you a ton, again!
