Display error or wrong setting? Only horizontal lines are shown

Hey people,
I have a problem with displaying lines in 2D. In 3D construction I had no problems, but when I wanted to Make2D I noticed that not all lines are displayed correctly.

For example, when I draw in a square, only the horizontal lines are shown. The vertical ones are not visible. When I click the invisible lines, I can select the square, but the vertical lines are only shown as dashed lines.
I have the same problem with circles (there are two gaps) or with polylinines (again only the horizontal lines are displayed) and Make2D.

I have probably changed some settings without noticing? I can’t find a solution. Maybe someone of you has an answer?

Thanks in advance

Hi Carla - please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and copy/paste the results here.

Hello - your machine it quite old, it looks like - 2012 - and not a strong display card by todays standards - I am not sure if this will ever display current Rhino’s geometry properly. That said, please try drawing your square in a new file that has no 3d geometry - does that look correct?
