When I’m in a category like, say Grasshopper, and I hit the “New” button to see all the new posts, why isn’t there a “Dismiss New” button just for that category?

I’d like to have such a feature too.
The influx of grasshopper posts makes other categories less visible. Being able to scan the new on a category and dismiss only those leaves the general new filtering with the rest of the news.
