I am searching for the function “DimVolume”. It should work like the funktion “DimArea”. Unfortunately the funciton isn’t part of Rhino. Maybe somebody already developed a script or a little plug in.
Best regards,
Jan

Hi Jan,
Rhino doesn’t have a “DimVolume” command. What would a volume dimension look like?

Hi Dale,
the dimension could be cubic meters oder cubic centimeters. Using the history function, the value of the area changes just in time. This is very helpful when I develop a Midsection of a boat. It would be very helpful, too, if the actual volume (displacement) could be displayed when I am changing the shape of the boat hull.
Best regards,
Jan
Hi Jan, little offtopic but I’ll be releasing an extended hydrostatics analysis plugin for grasshopper, incorporating what you need. Will go in beta once I get back on shore. Sorry for teasing. But, if you have some other desired functionality I’d be happy to hear about it.
