Can you please help me to understand the Trim tree and Shift paths well? Both gives the same result! Is there any special functions between them?

I think Shift path works from left to right means that cutting main branches at first (If the offset value is negative it works in opposite direction)
While Trim Tree works in right to left direction so it by increasing the depth value it will trim the sub branches first
