Damned damped sine formula again!

So im working on this simple thing which was to design a line divider…

Came out nice…

Since the original GH program design is not mine (couldn’t find the original source, apologies to the Author!), I decided to share it’s evolution.

RAW, no documentation, have fun only!

It’s really finicky - any change in any controller can do major changes in cpu usage or vibrations.

Tip: keep the rotations to the minimum (1) to find the curve you want to explore later in 3D.

I added serial (series) rotations over 3 independent axii to make mexican sombreros and whatever complexity you make will probably multiply!

So here are the shots of what it can do… (not extensive!)

No plugs in required…

Here are some videos about it. Couldn’t get the GH window in the video, but at least you have the result!

Low quality, sorry… Just showing what’s possible.

As far as I know, the original GH code was from @DavidRutten here:

I’ve used it many times for creating ripple patterns:

Thanks Joseph!

This was the love on first sight shape type of drawing that drew me into cnc’s and Grasshopper!

Which led to this piece (completely different model) :face_with_peeking_eye:
