Custom Preview Transparency problem

I’m having a problem where the custom preview component wont show solid objects in the rendered viewport. There is no trickery here I simply have a bunch of stuff in the model and very simple GH def to make the object. Have others come across this? Is it my graphics?

Try using a plastic or plaster material from rhino instead of using a color preview

Unfortunately that didn’t do it.

do that after baking the cube… grasshopper geometry is intrisically transparent until baked
