New comer to Rhino and grasshopper having come from Siemens NX and Solidworks.
I’m having difficulty with trying to model a set of chain links that follow a curve, of which both can be adjusted at a later date to suit my space constraints.
I’ve tried array along a curve, but it only gives me the option to specify the number of links, not the pitch and and number of links.
I have tried splitting my guide curve by the desired pitch, and feeding this into orient direction and this works, however populates the entire length of the curve.
In an ideal world, I’d like to define the pitch between the links, define how many links I want, and also have a number slider that can control where on the curve the links are in terms of a percentage from one end to the other.
With the use of a reparameterised curve imported to Grasshopper from rhino, a number slider from 0-1, evaluate curve and then orient direction, I can get one link to travel from one end of the curve to the other. I just want to have multiple links now.
