Ctrl+Shift selection of points is not possible

Is there any setting to select points of lines and polysettings that I am able to select by Ctrl+Shift drag selection as with polysurfaces. Thanks

That feature request is on the list as RH-70279 Subobject Selection: Doesn’t work on points of curves
