Creating drawings for waffle structure

Hi there. Apologies in advance, im an absolute novice on Rhino and grasshopper, and in trying my best to really understand the software and figure things out.

So I’m trying to create a waffle structure similar to the Metropol parasol and I’m able to model it, but I also need to build a physical model. For this, I want to get each individual piece from the model onto an AutoCAD drawing.

How do I then move all these pieces onto a 2D plane, number them and then print it out on paper?
I envisioned this similar to removing each piece and placing them on a mat, but is there any better way of achieving what I need? (Either rhino or grasshopper solutions are fine. I will do my best to figure it out)

This is what my model looks like

and this is the type of final product I’m trying to achieve (numbered if possible)

Hi -
You can probably use the OpenNest plug-in for this. You can install this using the Package Manager.

@wim This may be exactly what I need! Thank you so very much!!
