Command Auto-complete prevents use of Aliases

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I did a quick search and couldn’t find it.

I have aliases set up (“z” for “zoom”, “c” for “copy”, pretty basic stuff), but every time I try and use an alias, the command line auto-completes a command (try typing “z” for “zoom”, auto-completes to “zebra”). I’ve looked through the settings, but I can’t find a way to disable the auto-complete feature.

This seems to defeat the purpose of aliases.

Any solutions?

I cannot duplicate this. Z is already set up as an alias for Zoom and this works correctly, and autocompletes correctly, for me.

I’m having the same problem with typing in a z for zoom and instead seeing it in the command line. Was there any resolution to this elsewhere?
