Change a color setting such as by:
_-Options _Appearance _Colors _Viewport
Press Enter 3 times to exit from Options.
_UseExtrusions and either select an option or press Enter to keep the current.
Within 1 second, the color reverts to the previous one.

I was able to repeat that here.

The colors also revert after _Open, _Revert, _Save, or _SaveAs.
