I have managed to use open nest to unroll objects flat and assign indexed numbers as follows..
However, when i proceed to actually nest the objects on a sheet the main object nests as intended, but the indexed number and letter does not transform correctly. As follows..
I attempted using the transform tool to map the indexing information from the original pieces onto the new nested pieces and this is where the error takes place.. I know this is a data management issue but I cant wrap my head around how to solve this.. In my attempt below the red box is the merged indexing information and the blue box is the pieces being nested..
