Clipping section custom depth creates double cut lines display

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me with this:

The clipping section’s custom depth displays the cut lines from 3d elements at the section end in an overlayed maner. It shows on my viewport display and detail view in the layout.
This happens in top view and perspective as well. In the pictures I displayed you can see the difference between depth on and off. Disregard the overlayed 2d elements pls…

Any idea on what could be causing this?
All 3rd party plugins are off.

Appreciate your help!

Hi Gabriel -

I’m not able to reproduce that issue in a quick test here. Can you export a few objects and post a 3dm file that we can take a look at?
-wim

Hi Wim,

thanks for taking the time!
I’m not able to reproduce it with simpler things…

Here’s my simplified file:

kr,
gabriel

now i got to replicate it…
It happens as soon as you change the section style on the layer into a custom one, specifically changing the scale of the boundary. In my file it starts at factor 5 and continues going higher thah that.

heres the file:
test.3dm (57.3 KB)

So I don’t know if you have an opinion on this, but is there any way you this can be fixed?

It’s really inconvenient for my workflow, since I now have to put all dimensions and texts on the layout…

Thanks,

Gabriel

Hi Gabriel -

Thanks for digging into this.
I’ve put this issue on the list as RH-83561 Display: Far-End Section Curves Bleed Through
