Clipping plane issues

See video:

After the first gumball move, I can extrude the clipping plane with the gumball.
Result is an uncapped view, which is quite handy.
If that is intended, why only after the second selection?

The section style doesn’t display at all.
Not in the viewport, not after ‘Create Drawings’.

Tapping F1 in the Section Style dialog leads to nirvana.

I want to have a viewport that isn’t capped.
How?

Hi Charles -

Thanks, I’ve put this bug on the list → RH-82548 Gumball: Extrudes a Clipping Plane

By default, objects take the section style from their layers:
image

You can change this to By Clipping Plane to use the section style of a clipping plane:

image

I’ve reported this as RH-82549 Section Style: F1 Help Leads Nowhere

Turn off Use section styles and Show fills in the display mode settings:

-wim

Now I got it.
It’s an Object property, not a Clipping Plane property.
Thanks.

Or even shorter in the Display panel:

Thank you, all questions answered
