Clipping Plane lowers gumbal move performance significantly

Hello, lately I have a lot of issues with the performance of Clipping Planes and VA Sections.
I almost entirely moved away from VA Sections but Clipping Planes are giving me hard time too.

Having Clipping Plane activated (even if it’s not cutting through any geometry) causes performance drop to the Gumball actions.

rhino move and lock slowdown.3dm (10.0 MB)

Uploaded file with the walls from Revit (baked by GH RiR) was also mentioned in the different topic and showing different problem with display performance.

It consists limited number of geometries and it already shows the problem (video1), in the second video, where there are more objects, it shows significant performance drop and frankly, it makes Rhino unusable.

small file - noticeable performance drop

regular file size - unbareable performance drop

I can second this! (Sort of…)

I plan on sharing a file very soon to see if anyone else encounters the same. I can’t figure out if it’s solely my R7 template file, which I’ve been producing most of my work from, that is the problem, or if it can also be reproduced when I start a fresh new file and start adding some geometry. Stand by…

However, for me what happens is… even when no clipping planes are active, when I simply try to select a clipping plane everything freezes momentarily (the time varies a lot), and when I try Gumball drag the clipping plane it again freezes momentarily and sometimes doesn’t unfreeze until I click somewhere, which seems to refresh my screen and and then the clipping plane has suddenly jumped to wherever I may have dragged it without knowing… Clipping planes have become truly unusable for me.
