Clean up in Grasshopper

Hey Guys,

Is there a way to make wall geometry to clean up inside the grasshopper instead of needing to bake it for it to cleanup?

As I would like to do all my work with in the grasshopper, including rendering with v-ray.

Hi @Jonas-Blazinskas, this is not possible right now, but it is a planned feature. There are some operations (such as wall intersections, beam intersections, or cuts of openings inside walls) that are not being calculated in Grasshopper in order to speed up the performance of VisualARQ objects in GH. But we will make this optional in future versions.

Yeah sounds like an optional separate component to enable these calculations would be awesome. Where let’s say in the end of definition you could plug all of your geometry in and it would do the missing calculations that you have mentioned.

Is there a rough estimate on when such feature should be expected to launch? As I am debating if I should base my project long term on VisualARQ components or try to do everything more manually.

Thank you for your help in advance!

Hi Jonas,
Yes, this would be a good approach for this feature. We are planning to implement this in VisualARQ 3, but I can’t say when it will be released. We may publish a WIP version very soon, but it will be only available for VisualARQ users.

Awesome, thank you!
