Circle through two points of given radius how?

Hi,
V5
Q1. what method draw circle of given radius through two points ?

Q2. Also if using circle 3 points, and I am moving mouse and see my fitment to my arced edge in my photo, I see 0,493 in the data box, how can I enter 0.5 and have it complete that circle at that time ?

Cheers

Steve

Use the _Circle _3Point command and after selecting the two points enter the radius.

Draw two circles of the desired radius with the two points as the centers.
Draw a circle of the desired radius with the intersection of the two circles from the previous step as the center.
Delete the first two circles.

Hi Thanks,
Martin,..the enter radius came with the second stage, I had only noticed it asking for the third point.

Cheers David,
ah yes schoolboy days, geometry in maths then tech drg. forgot that one.
I always remember the find centre of a circle drawing same circles two or three places around its curve, then line through the intersects.

Does Rhino have a geometry reminder pdf or something to refresh the brain on such things ?

try and get a gold star again

Instead of a third point you can type ‘r’ and then enter a radius.

Does that work for you?

That works for me.

Hi,
click on first point,
second point prompt click on 2nd point.
third point prompt type r5 hit enter and still its a circle moving about as if nothing was recognised.

Hi Steve -

But that’s not what Martin wrote.

Type r, hit Space, type 5.

@Steve1 I’m really confused. You’ve been using Rhino since Rhino 5 but you’re missing how to input a command option?

I don’t want to be rude but do you look at the command line at all?

I just read it literally without adding the space.
I dont when entering R values for relative to a mouse click enter R 1.5,2.5, instead I type R1.5,2.5
and it works, always have done, and for radius I click the radius word then type a number.
So have never ever entered a radius using R then space then a value, never ever needed to know how to enter a radius like that, as I click the word radius.

thats how that one got through the net !

Interesting…
