When I was creating project parameters using shared parameters, I wanted to assign all of them under the “Structural Foundation” category. But after I connected them, I got the two error messages shown in screenshot 1.
Then I tried using “Query Parameter” to get the newly added parameters and change their category again. Something interesting happened — the program still showed errors, but each time I hit “Compute”, a few parameters actually got updated, see screenshot 2. Their category changed from 198 to 1. The updates happened in order, starting from the top of the panel list and working their way down.
After clicking “Compute” a few more times, all the parameters were updated successfully, and the errors disappeared, see screenshot 3.
But in “parameter property” the category is still wrong.
I am confused and need your help.
Pls see the attached screenshot and the shared parameter file below for reference.
I’m not sure if this is related to the .NET Framework. I can’t install the .NET Framework on my computer at the moment, and I’m in touch with IT for help.
I ran two tests. The first one, just like @Muhammad_Saqlain_Awa said, in Revit 2025.4, worked without any issues. However, when I tried @Japhy’s approach — creating a new, empty project and adding just one shared parameter — the error occurred immediately.
I’ll move forward with the process manually for now.
