Change object layer by display color?

Hi,

I’m importing a pdf file of a map. When I do this different types of element (building, grass, asphalt, parking…) has different display colors. I would like to use the color to move the objects to seperate layers based on color. It is possible 50 different colors so do it manually is no fun. Any hints on how to do that?

Hi,
Here is one. The original is a pdf file that I read into illustrator and then I imported the Illustrator file to Rhino.
