CHAIN links along a curve

Hi everyone,

I am working on a Grasshopper definition where I need to create a dynamic chain along a curve. The chain needs to adapt if the curve changes.

What I have:

  • A single chain link geometry as an input. Pipe for the next step.
  • A base curve.
  • A definition setup using Perp Frames to generate planes along the curve, Dispatch and Rotate to separate and combine alternating links, and Orient to place the geometry.

What I am trying to achieve:
I want the chain links to alternate along the curve (every second link needs to be rotated by 90 degrees to interlock properly, creating a realistic chain).

I have attached files of my current canvas and model.

Could anyone please point out what I am doing wrong with the planes, data structure, or the Orient component setup? Since this is for a homework assignment, I really need to understand where my mistake is.
