Cannot restore Rhino Mac to Default Appearance

Hi all,

Apologies if this is something that has been posted already, I did a few cursory searches but did not find anything relating to my question in particular.

I had reset a few of the appearance settings to change the colors of the background and the grid lines. I attempted to change them back to the default settings, but when I click on the “Restore Defaults” button, the colors do not change and nothing happens.

Is this a known glitch? Am I missing something? Is there a way to do this without a full re-install or factory reset? I’ve got a few plugins and a bunch of custom aliases so for something that’s relatively minor, I’d rather not have to lose time reinstalling those just to get it to look differently. Screenshot included of what I see before me.

If anyone has any advice for fixing this, (or heck, if you know the hex codes for the default colors so I can go in and do that manually, that would help a lot too) I would much appreciate it! Thank you!

i guess its a bug then

what you can try for now is OptionsExport followed by Reset, and if needed OptionsImport

Hi Nathaniel -

Yes, this is a known issue → RH-84981 Restore Defaults does not work for Appearance
I’ve given it a nudge.
