Can’t get Adobe Illustrator Toolkit plugin to work

It seems like a really good plugin if it works, however it doesnt {for me}. Assist needed

I want it to work, the very first step is of course, getting the “illustrator app” component to work, and it doesn’t. I understand that there could be a lot of problems. For starters, I don’t know how the component connects to the software “Adobe Illustrator”, is it by software directory? or currently running illustrator session? if directory, most likely changing the software’s default directory will mess things up, which I have changed. Another thing could be a problem with the plugin itself. Doodlebug, a very similar plugin that existed before “Adobe Illustrator Toolkit”, was discontinued and the developer before that mentioned that maintaining the plugin is really hard because with every version of Adobe Illustrator, the whole thing changes and they would have to start from scratch. On that topic, it could be that the version of Adobe Illustrator I am using is not compatible with the plugin.

yes that’s the plugin, I tried contacting them I haven’t yet been answered
