Can not move gumball handle for SubD objects

The double click for moving the gumball handles or the gumball does not work for SubD objects.

To clarify, it works on SubD edges and vertices but not when complete objects are selected. Is there any way to move the scale handles it that mode?

I could not reproduce that here. Does it happen as well in a new file with a simple SubD Box?
If so, can you check if the problem persist in Safe Mode?
