BUG: hatches without dots

Dots are not displayed in the hatches

Yep, confirmed…

I was surprised to see 71 open issues for hatches listed as “bugs” - but I didn’t find this one in there, so I created one…

@ivan.galik can you share a file as a sample? We are drawing the points, just very tiny. I bumped up the point size a little bit, but would also like to confirm that they work for your model.

Thanks,

hatch.3dm (60.8 KB)

Thanks; that helps. I wasn’t accounting for far from origin geometry. I should have a fix for this in the next beta.

[edit] this will be fixed in the next beta

A post was split to a new topic: Print width on hatches and PrintDisplay

actually it is not

Are you seeing dots in the hatch.3dm file that you sent?

microscopic and its not visible in clipped geometry at all

now i realized that you cant adjust pattern weight in section style which is sad

i wonder if you test your fixes or blindly assume something is fixed? because it says it is fixed for current beta.

I test my fixes on both Windows and Mac under different screen resolutions. I don’t have access to your computer so sometimes things don’t work and we need to reopen the issue.

i am using the most standard configuration i believe

2560*1440 resolution on 27inch screen

Are you using customized display modes?

no recently i deleted everything and installed clean rhino, purely all defaults

Ok; I’ll reopen the issue and see if there is any reason for the microscopic dots.

HI @ivan.galik here is a new build with some adjustments to the dot drawing portion of hatches. Please let me know if this makes a difference for you.

i cant see any change.

can you please post how it looks on your end? (hatch.3dm file above)

Hi Ivan -

This is how that looks on my machine here:

This matches what my screen shows as well. I’m not accounting for some difference between your system and mine. This bug is still marked as open and still on my list.

tried on my other pc
