"Bring To Front", but "In Detail" (viewport)

I suppose there’s no way to bring a certain element to front only in a certain “Detail View” (e.g. “BringToFrontInDetail”)?

Is there perhaps any workaround for “revealing” elements other than copying them, moving closer to camera and "HideInDetail"ing the previous version?

Hi Daniel -
There is no command for something like that, no, and I don’t know of a different workaround.

Thanks, I’m just going through the process of producing technical drawings out of a Rhino model in “BIM-style”. Unfortunately, a lot of methods for graphics/visibility is not available out of the box the most pressing being able to show only a selected set of objects/layers (right now whenever layers are changed or new objects added this needs updating).

Perhaps a command that “HidesInDetail all layers/objects other than a chosen set” could work.

However, I don’t know how to “BringToFrontInDetail” using the existing Rhino APIs? Maybe I’m not thinking about it in the right way.

It’s always possible to duplciate the object and move it up, of course.

This would be also really useful for printing technical drawings - setting draw order differently for different views/detail views.
