i mostly want to share it for the devs to have a look at it:
Boolean Difference fails in the following example - some ugly coplanar / coinciding surfaces:
left to right
(1)
BooleanDifference fails
(2)
BooleanDifference works after DivideAlongCreases
(3 und 4)
removing / deleting the coinciding surfaces:
both
(3) BooleanDifference
(4) BooleanSplit
work
this might be a nice hint for some backup strategy for the boolean algorithm - after the first standard approach failed:
do not care about coinciding surfaces
and or
use DivideAlongCreases to check if a result is possible
