Bongo and V-Ray 1.5

Since upgrading to V-Ray 1.5 I can no longer select V-Ray as the target renderer in Bongo. All I have are “Viewport Display” and "“Rhino Default Render Plug-in”. I’m using Rhino 4 and Bongo 1. Any advice?

Maybe upgrade to Rhino 5, Bongo 2 and perhaps V-Ray for Rhino 2.0? --Mitch

Thanks Mitch. That was what I was afraid of. If there’s any less expensive workaround, I’d be glad to hear it. Maybe just upgrading to Bongo 2 might do it?

Unfortunately not, as far as I know Bongo 2 only runs in Rhino 5… From the bongo3d.com site:

Bongo 2 requires Rhino 5 with a minimum version of 5.5 (Service Release 5).

I don’t know what changed from V-Ray 1.05 to 1.5 that caused the problem with Bongo 1… Maybe @andy knows…

OK thanks Mitch!

Please make sure you’re running the latest version of Bongo 1.0:

There was a bug at some point that made installed renderers not show up in Bongo’s list. That was fixed in Service Release 7 of Bongo 1, so if you’re having an older version of Bongo 1.0 installed, you might be getting the bug.

That did it - thanks a lot Marika! I was ready to throw it all away here.
